We have been working all day today on our next mailout. David is stamping them right now as I type this . . . we are watching the BCS championship game. We will send out about 210 newsletters tomorrow to our supporters and family/friends. This is only the third mass mailing we’ve done, but we are actually getting really efficient!
Here’s how it goes down– David updates the mailing database and prints all the newsletters and labels (which really is pretty involved), and I get to do all the sticking, folding and stuffing! I have really come to enjoy the process of making newsletters and sending them out. There is something fulfilling about making a new creation each month as a way to share what’s been going on in our lives. Creating newsletters would be a real thorn if it weren’t for our macbook that was given to us as a gift by a wonderful friend!
This whole thing has definitely been an adjustment for us . . . I mean the lifestyle of traveling non-stop and not having a home and working crazy hours. One of the hardest parts is that we may be out meeting with people until 9:00, but when we get home we may still have work to do to prepare for the next day. However, I must say we have really adjusted well (now that we’re almost done!). Its funny how we have just fallen into different roles based on our skills and gifts. I usually wouldn’t recommend a married couple to work together . . . especially from home . . . but God has really blessed our relationship and we have grown a lot!
