I have recently picked up your study “Jesus The One and Only” and started in where I left off several years ago around week 4. I am reminded how much I appreciate you. You have such a gift of bringing the text close to my heart and stirring my affections for Jesus. Thank you for helping me see into the heart of God and ponder his character in new ways. Thank you for giving your life to encourage women all over the world to understand and be changed.
Someone as “public” as you is often criticized for this or that, and I have heard it too. But you know, I trust your personal intimacy with Christ because it shows. I want it to show in me like it does in you.
I think it’s pretty dangerous to criticize someone who has sacrificed as much as you have to walk with Jesus and help others to do the same. One day we’ll stand before the throne and give an account of what we did with our lives. Then we’ll be able to see the fruit that we can’t see now. I can’t imagine how long the line will be behind you of women who encountered the living God through your work.
Of course no one is perfect, you are just like anyone else. I know it hasn’t been an easy road for you, and you have endured so much. But thank you for your obedience. Thank you for keeping your eyes fixed on the unseen.
