We got home yesterday from a 5 day vacation on the Big Island in Hawaii. I know I’ve been MIA on the blog for awhile but the last thing I wanted to do was type on vacation! The trip was given to us as a graduation present from family, and we just planned to take it as an anniversary trip as well. August 18th was our 3 year anniversary.
We learned that the Big Island is named that for a reason! We drove so many miles, but it was worth it to see all the waterfalls, beautiful coastline, and also Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The resort where we stayed was also really amazing. It had 3 pools and you could walk about 30 yards onto the beach where you can snorkel for free every day. I had never been snorkeling for real before but it was really fun. Especially on sunny days when the water was clear and you could see really good. We also ate at some amazing restaurants, in fact everywhere we ate was a grand slam (not like the denny’s kind) but I mean good. Local beef, local seafood, and local Kona coffee. Thanks to yelp we knew where to eat and we were not disappointed!
Here are a few pictures . . .
