This trimester I and a friend Sanli led a life group on the book of Genesis. We had so much fun together discussing what God is doing in our lives, and also learning more about Him through studying the very beginning of His special revelation to humanity. We only made it about half way through so far because we have such great discussions.
One of my favorite things about this group of girls is their servant hearts. We have joined together in efforts to make a difference in the life of a family who is going through a trying time.
My friend and former neighbor is pregnant with her first child, and had to go on bedrest at 18 weeks into her pregnancy! You can read about her by clicking here: https://kendallhibiske.wordpress.com/2011/03/17/this-is-what-we-do/
Right now she is at about 32 weeks, so has made it past the critical time. However she is persevering and really wants to go full term so her baby can be as healthy as possible. Our group has brought food to this family, visited with them, we wrote cards for Easter, and we are looking forward to meeting her baby soon! I could not be more proud of these ladies who have taken initiative to serve and love a family they didn’t even know when our group began. This is truly evidence that Jesus can use us in powerful ways to share his love!
We had a potluck on Wednesday to celebrate all God has done thus far, and it was such a wonderful time! Love each of you ladies and looking forward to serving with you in the future at South Bay church!
