I am so incredibly blessed with my husband. He is right there with me in preparation for all this baby stuff we have to do. There are so many decisions to make and things to get done. I suppose that’s why God gives you nine months to prepare!
Yesterday we spent the afternoon opening our registry at Buy Buy Baby. David is the shooter as we walk around the store tagging things we like and need. We compliment each other well, because on some things I have done the research and know what I want or prefer, and he goes along with it. Other things I have no strong leaning one way or the other . . . for instance: a diaper pail. I could care less what type of diaper pail we have (as long as it doesn’t stink up the room!) or even if we have one at all. And he reads all the boxes and looks at the demos to pick the one that’s best for us. And then on the big decisions like strollers, carseats, furniture, etc. we figure it out together. Actually we had a store employee and a manager out in the parking lot with us trying to get a rear-facing infant carseat to fit in his truck. Not going to happen, sadly 😦
Anyways, my point is our shopping experience yesterday could have been stressful and aggravating for both of us, but because he is so invested and wants to do it with me, it was a joy! After dinner he even suggested we go to another baby store to update our registry there. We did good for the first 30 min before he pooped out and started going into zombie mode. He’s really cute when he gets tired because he starts moving really slow and zoning out. Not gonna lie, I was there too. Baby shopping is exhausting! We turned in our gun and came home early, but we got a lot done together. Moral of the story: A husband’s attitude makes all the difference in the world!
