I wanted to post a couple of quick pics of South Bay’s new office. Our lease was up at our office complex so it worked out to move to the new building, although we are still waiting on permits to go through with the city of San Jose for the auditorium itself. Slowly but surely! Here is the common area . . . say hi to Laura . . .
Right after Thanksgiving we called in the volunteer troops to do some serious painting, furniture assembly, and finishing. Almost all the furniture you see (unless we already had it) is from IKEA. We did our shopping at IKEA because it is inexpensive but stylish! The office decor and color scheme was designed by Archie, our worship pastor. He did a great job!
Above is the hallway leading the opposite direction. The frames on the wall are all the sermon series artwork from each series since South Bay began! The door at the end is leading into Archie’s office.
This is David’s office (above), and he loves to be there. In his old office he didn’t even have a window and I have discovered how important it is for him to have one! He is so much more comfortable and productive if he doesn’t feel like he has to work in a cave. It’s not a huge window, as you can see in the picture (yes it is dark outside), but it is perfectly placed right over his desk. It’s the little things in life!
