Its been quite a few weeks at the Hibiske house. We have had a teething/growth spurting/solid-starting themed February with Avery, our now 6 1/2 month old. She has been waking up at night and early in the morning which is not like her. Of course we would finally roll into bed late and as soon as our heads hit the pillow we would hear the sound of her crying over the monitor. One of my least favorite moments in parenting!! And on top of all this, we got hit with the stomach bug. Avery got it first, then two days later Ella got it. She has never been sick like that before so that was super fun. Trying to help her understand what in the world was going on and that she would be ok. or the first time. Also- that very week David had 4 talks to prepare for, including a South Bay message that he had to deliver 5 times over 2 days. All the while we are gearing up to launch another South Bay Church campus in Sunnyvale.
You know the feeling. You go into treading-water mode and you lose all capability to move forward in any area of life. Hopefully, though, this coming week will begin a reset for our family, at least at home, so we can feel a bit more on top of things.
We have had some great moments though! We got to do a special baby dedication for Avery at South Bay. This means taking a special time to dedicate her life back to God and tell Him and everyone else that we see her as a blessing to our family! That we want her to develop into the woman God has designed her to be and be used by Him however He sees fit! Here is a picture from that night!
And here are a couple more of my favorite pics from this past few weeks 😉
